चन्द्र उवाच । अहं शप्तस्तु दक्षेण कस्मिंश्चित्कारणांतरे । यक्ष्मणा च क्षयं नीतस्तस्मात्त्वं त्रातुमर्हसि
candra uvāca | ahaṃ śaptastu dakṣeṇa kasmiṃścitkāraṇāṃtare | yakṣmaṇā ca kṣayaṃ nītastasmāttvaṃ trātumarhasi
ചന്ദ്രൻ പറഞ്ഞു—ഒരു കാരണാന്തരത്തിൽ ദക്ഷൻ എന്നെ ശപിച്ചു; യക്ഷ്മയാൽ ഞാൻ ക്ഷയത്തിലേക്കു നയിക്കപ്പെട്ടു. അതിനാൽ നീ എന്നെ രക്ഷിക്കേണ്ടതാണ്।
