सप्तमोऽहं महादेव आत्रेय इति विश्रुतः । प्राचेतसेन दक्षेण शप्तस्त्वां शरणं गतः । रक्ष मां देवदेवेश क्षयिणं पापरोगिणम्
saptamo'haṃ mahādeva ātreya iti viśrutaḥ | prācetasena dakṣeṇa śaptastvāṃ śaraṇaṃ gataḥ | rakṣa māṃ devadeveśa kṣayiṇaṃ pāparogiṇam
ഹേ മഹാദേവാ! ഞാൻ ഏഴാമൻ, ‘ആത്രേയൻ’ എന്നു വിശ്രുതൻ. പ്രചേതസിന്റെ പുത്രനായ ദക്ഷന്റെ ശാപത്താൽ പീഡിതനായി ഞാൻ നിന്റെ ശരണത്തിൽ എത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നു. ഹേ ദേവദേവേശാ! പാപരോഗം മൂലം ക്ഷയിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്ന എന്നെ രക്ഷിക്കണമേ.
