पंचमोऽभूद्यदा ब्रह्मा सुरज्येष्ठ इति श्रुतः । कृत्तिवासेति ते नाम बभूव त्रिपुरांतक
paṃcamo'bhūdyadā brahmā surajyeṣṭha iti śrutaḥ | kṛttivāseti te nāma babhūva tripurāṃtaka
അഞ്ചാം ഘട്ടത്തിൽ ബ്രഹ്മാവ് ‘സുരജ്യേഷ്ഠ’ എന്ന പേരിൽ പ്രസിദ്ധമായി കേൾക്കപ്പെട്ടപ്പോൾ, ഹേ ത്രിപുരാന്തകാ, നിന്റെ നാമം ‘കൃത്തിവാസ’—ചർമ്മവസ്ത്രധാരി—എന്നു ആയി।
