तं दृष्ट्वा पर्वतं रम्यं दृष्ट्वा चैव महोदधिम् । प्रदक्षिणं ततश्चक्रे सप्तकृत्वो निशाकरः । गिरेः प्रदक्षिणां कृत्वा गतो यत्र महेश्वरः
taṃ dṛṣṭvā parvataṃ ramyaṃ dṛṣṭvā caiva mahodadhim | pradakṣiṇaṃ tataścakre saptakṛtvo niśākaraḥ | gireḥ pradakṣiṇāṃ kṛtvā gato yatra maheśvaraḥ
ആ മനോഹരമായ പർവതവും മഹാസമുദ്രവും കണ്ട നിശാകരൻ (ചന്ദ്രൻ) അപ്പോൾ ഏഴുതവണ പ്രദക്ഷിണം ചെയ്തു. പർവതപ്രദക്ഷിണം പൂർത്തിയാക്കി മഹേശ്വരൻ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്ന സ്ഥലത്തേക്ക് അദ്ദേഹം പോയി.
