एषां शापो मया दत्तोऽनुग्रहीष्य ति शंकरः । नान्यस्त्रातुं भवेच्छक्तो विना पशुपतिं भवम् । तत्त्वं शीघ्रतरं गच्छ समाराधय शंकर
eṣāṃ śāpo mayā datto'nugrahīṣya ti śaṃkaraḥ | nānyastrātuṃ bhavecchakto vinā paśupatiṃ bhavam | tattvaṃ śīghrataraṃ gaccha samārādhaya śaṃkara
ഇവർക്കു ഞാൻ നൽകിയ ശാപമുണ്ട്; ശങ്കരൻ തന്നെയാണ് അനുഗ്രഹിക്കുക. പശുപതി ഭവനെ ഒഴികെ മറ്റാരും രക്ഷിക്കാൻ കഴിവുള്ളവരല്ല. അതിനാൽ ഉടൻ വേഗത്തിൽ ചെന്നു വിധിപൂർവ്വം ശങ്കരനെ ആരാധിക്കു.
