adyaprabhṛti viprarṣe samaṃ varttayitāsmyaham | putrībhistava satyaṃ vai śape'haṃ śapathena te
Soma (Ṛkṣendra / Niśānātha)
Tirtha: Prabhāsa-kṣetra
Type: kshetra
Scene: Soma, still humbled, raises his hand in oath-taking gesture, declaring equal conduct from that day; Dakṣa listens, the daughters’ sorrow beginning to ease; the night sky appears orderly, stars aligned.
A vow (śapatha) binds one to dharma; truthful commitment is presented as the remedy to prior injustice.
The verse is within the Prabhāsakṣetra-māhātmya, which glorifies Prabhāsa by narrating dharmic-cosmic events tied to Soma.
No formal rite; the prescriptive act is taking an oath—truthful commitment to equitable conduct.
