आह चैनमृषिः पुत्रं दृष्ट्वा ब्राह्मणमागतम् । अभिवाद्यास्त्रयो वर्णास्ततः श्रेयो ह्यवाप्स्यसि
āha cainamṛṣiḥ putraṃ dṛṣṭvā brāhmaṇamāgatam | abhivādyāstrayo varṇāstataḥ śreyo hyavāpsyasi
അപ്പോൾ ഋഷി പുത്രനോട് പറഞ്ഞു—‘ബ്രാഹ്മണൻ വരുന്നതു കണ്ടാൽ നമസ്കരിക്കണം. മൂന്നു വർണങ്ങളെയും ആദരിച്ചാൽ നീ തീർച്ചയായും ശ്രേയസ്സു പ്രാപിക്കും।’
