अप्राप्ते रजसि गौरी प्राप्ते रजसि रोहिणी । अव्यंजनकृता कन्या कुचहीना तु नग्निका
aprāpte rajasi gaurī prāpte rajasi rohiṇī | avyaṃjanakṛtā kanyā kucahīnā tu nagnikā
രജഃപ്രാപ്തിക്ക് മുമ്പ് അവൾ ‘ഗൗരീ’; രജഃപ്രാപ്തിയായാൽ ‘രോഹിണീ’. യൗവനലക്ഷണങ്ങൾ പ്രകടമാകാത്തവൾ ‘കന്യ’; കുചങ്ങൾ വികസിക്കാത്തവൾ ‘നഗ്നികാ’ എന്നു പറയപ്പെടുന്നു.
