ददौ प्राचेतसो दक्षो नक्षत्राणीति या विदुः । स तत्प्राप्य मह्द्राज्यं सोमः सोमवतां वरः
dadau prācetaso dakṣo nakṣatrāṇīti yā viduḥ | sa tatprāpya mahdrājyaṃ somaḥ somavatāṃ varaḥ
പ്രചേതസിന്റെ പുത്രനായ ദക്ഷൻ ‘നക്ഷത്രങ്ങൾ’ എന്നു അറിയപ്പെടുന്നവരെ അദ്ദേഹത്തിന് ദാനം ചെയ്തു. ആ മഹാരാജ്യം ലഭിച്ച ശേഷം സോമൻ—സോമസദൃശ ദീപ്തിമാന്മാരിൽ ശ്രേഷ്ഠൻ—തന്റെ ആധിപത്യത്തിൽ സമൃദ്ധനായി.
