पुरा कामो मया दग्धो यदा तत्र वरानने । तदा रतिः समागम्य विललाप सुदुःखिता
purā kāmo mayā dagdho yadā tatra varānane | tadā ratiḥ samāgamya vilalāpa suduḥkhitā
ഹേ വരാനനേ! പൂർവ്വകാലത്ത് ഞാൻ അവിടെ കാമദേവനെ ദഹിപ്പിച്ചപ്പോൾ, രതി എന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വന്ന് അത്യന്തം ദുഃഖത്തോടെ വിലപിച്ചു।
