dehāvatārānvakṣyāmi prāraṃbhātprathamānpriye | pañcamaḥ paṃcadaśyāṃ sa tretāyāṃ tu babhūva ha

ഹേ പ്രിയേ, ആരംഭം മുതൽ തന്നെ ആദ്യത്തെ ദേഹാവതാരങ്ങളെ ഞാൻ വിവരിക്കും. പതിനഞ്ചാം ക്രമത്തിൽ അഞ്ചാമത്തെ അവതാരം സംഭവിച്ചു; അത് ത്രേതായുഗത്തിലായിരുന്നു.
