यम उवाच । तुष्टोऽस्मि तव भद्रं ते वरं वरय भामिनि । सापि वव्रे च राज्यं स्वं विनयावनतानना
yama uvāca | tuṣṭo'smi tava bhadraṃ te varaṃ varaya bhāmini | sāpi vavre ca rājyaṃ svaṃ vinayāvanatānanā
യമൻ പറഞ്ഞു—“ഞാൻ നിന്നിൽ പ്രസന്നനാണ്; നിനക്കു മംഗളം. ഹേ ഭാമിനി, വരം ചോദിക്ക.” അവളും വിനയത്തോടെ മുഖം താഴ്ത്തി തന്റെ രാജ്യം പുനഃപ്രാപ്തിയാകട്ടെ എന്നു വരം ചോദിച്ചു।
