सावित्र्युवाच । सकृज्जल्पंति राजानः सकृज्जल्पंति ब्राह्मणाः । सकृत्कन्या प्रदीयेत त्रीण्येतानि सकृत्सकृत्
sāvitryuvāca | sakṛjjalpaṃti rājānaḥ sakṛjjalpaṃti brāhmaṇāḥ | sakṛtkanyā pradīyeta trīṇyetāni sakṛtsakṛt
സാവിത്രി പറഞ്ഞു—രാജാക്കന്മാർ പ്രതിജ്ഞാവചനം ഒരിക്കൽ മാത്രമേ പറയൂ; ബ്രാഹ്മണരും ഒരിക്കൽ മാത്രമേ വാക്ക് നൽകൂ; കന്യാദാനവും ഒരിക്കൽ മാത്രമേ നടക്കൂ—ഈ മൂന്നു ‘ഒരിക്കൽ മാത്രം’ ആകുന്നു.
