गौरीमेवं तथा शप्त्वा सा देवी वरवर्णिनी । उच्चै रुरोद सावित्री भर्तृ यज्ञाद्बहिः स्थिता
gaurīmevaṃ tathā śaptvā sā devī varavarṇinī | uccai ruroda sāvitrī bhartṛ yajñādbahiḥ sthitā
ഇങ്ങനെ ഗൗരിയെ ശപിച്ച ശേഷം, ശ്രേഷ്ഠവർണ്ണയുള്ള ദേവി സാവിത്രി ഭർത്താവിന്റെ യജ്ഞത്തിന് പുറത്തുനിന്ന് ഉച്ചത്തിൽ കരഞ്ഞു.
