दुर्गन्धा भासुरा देवि वहते रसरूपिणी । तस्या रसेन संयुक्तं पृथग्वर्णं हि कर्बुरम्
durgandhā bhāsurā devi vahate rasarūpiṇī | tasyā rasena saṃyuktaṃ pṛthagvarṇaṃ hi karburam
ഹേ ദേവീ! അവിടെ രസരൂപിണിയായ ഒരു ദീപ്തധാര ഒഴുകുന്നു; അത് ചിലപ്പോൾ ദുർഗന്ധമുള്ളതുമാകുന്നു. ആ രസത്തോടു ചേർന്നാൽ അത് കർബുരം—അഥവാ വേർവേർ നിറങ്ങളാൽ പുള്ളിപ്പുള്ളിയായി—മാറുന്നു.
