saṃtuṣṭo bhagavānyasmātteṣāṃ tatra tapasvinām | tena saṃtoṣanāmnā tu prakhyātaṃ dharaṇītale

അവിടെയുള്ള തപസ്വികളിൽ ഭഗവാൻ സന്തുഷ്ടനായതിനാൽ, ഭൂമിതലത്തിൽ അത് ‘സന്തോഷ’ എന്ന നാമത്തിൽ പ്രസിദ്ധമായി।
