शूद्रान्नेन द्विजो यस्तु अग्निहोत्रं जुहोति च । चण्डालो जायते प्रेत्य शूद्राच्चैवेह दैवतः
śūdrānnena dvijo yastu agnihotraṃ juhoti ca | caṇḍālo jāyate pretya śūdrāccaiveha daivataḥ
ശൂദ്രാന്നം കൊണ്ടു അഗ്നിഹോത്രത്തിൽ ആഹുതി അർപ്പിക്കുന്ന ദ്വിജൻ, മരണാനന്തരം ചണ്ഡാലനായി ജനിക്കുന്നു; ഈ ലോകത്തുതന്നെ അവന്റെ ദേവതാ-സ്ഥിതിയും ശൂദ്രസമമായി അധഃപതിക്കുന്നു।
