sthāpitaṃ lakṣmaṇenaiva tatra yātrāgatena vai | mahāpāpaharaṃ devi talliṃgaṃ surapūjitam

Translation

അവിടെ തീർത്ഥയാത്രയ്ക്കെത്തിയ ലക്ഷ്മണൻ തന്നെയാണ് ആ ലിംഗം സ്ഥാപിച്ചത്. ഹേ ദേവീ, അത് മഹാപാപഹരവും ദേവന്മാർ പൂജിക്കുന്നതുമാണ്.
