Transliteration

kṣayapuṣṭyarthavidveṣakarmabhiḥ śāṃtikādibhiḥ | pālayaṃti mahīṃ yasmānmahīpālāstataḥ smṛtāḥ

Translation

ക്ഷയനിവാരണവും പുഷ്ടിയും ഹിതവും വൈരശമനവും ലക്ഷ്യമാക്കി ശാന്തി മുതലായ കർമങ്ങളാൽ ഭൂമിയെ കാക്കുന്നവർ ‘മഹീപാലർ’ എന്നു സ്മൃതിയിൽ അറിയപ്പെടുന്നു।
