ईश्वर उवाच । य एते द्वादशादित्या विराजन्ते महाबलाः । तेषां यो विष्णुसंज्ञस्तु सर्वलोकेषु विश्रुतः
īśvara uvāca | ya ete dvādaśādityā virājante mahābalāḥ | teṣāṃ yo viṣṇusaṃjñastu sarvalokeṣu viśrutaḥ
ഈശ്വരൻ പറഞ്ഞു—പ്രകാശിക്കുന്ന ഈ ദ്വാദശ മഹാബല ആദിത്യന്മാരിൽ, ‘വിഷ്ണു’ എന്ന നാമത്തിൽ സർവ്വലോകങ്ങളിലും വിശ്രുതനായവൻ പ്രത്യേകമായി പ്രസിദ്ധനാണ്।
