इति कथितमशेषमेव चित्रं चरितमिदं तव देवि पुण्ययुक्तम् । इतरमपि तवातिवल्लभं यद्वद कथयामि महोदयं मुनीनाम्
iti kathitamaśeṣameva citraṃ caritamidaṃ tava devi puṇyayuktam | itaramapi tavātivallabhaṃ yadvada kathayāmi mahodayaṃ munīnām
ഇങ്ങനെ, ദേവീ, പുണ്യസമ്പന്നമായ ഈ അത്ഭുതവും സമ്പൂർണ്ണവുമായ പവിത്രചരിതം നിനക്കു പറഞ്ഞുതീർത്തു. ഇനി നിനക്കു അതിപ്രിയമായ മറ്റൊരു ആഖ്യാനവും, മുനിമാർക്കു മഹോന്നതി നൽകുന്നതും, യഥാവിധി ഞാൻ വിവരിക്കുന്നു.
