जलशायी स्मृतस्तेन नारायण इति श्रुतिः । आप्यतत्त्वं तु तीर्थानि यानि प्रोक्तानि ते मया

jalaśāyī smṛtastena nārāyaṇa iti śrutiḥ | āpyatattvaṃ tu tīrthāni yāni proktāni te mayā

അതുകൊണ്ട് അവൻ ‘ജലശായി’ എന്നു സ്മരിക്കപ്പെടുന്നു; അതിനാലാണ് ശ്രുതിയിൽ ‘നാരായണ’ എന്ന നാമം പ്രസിദ്ധം. ഞാൻ നിന്നോട് പ്രസ്താവിച്ച തീർത്ഥങ്ങൾ എല്ലാം ആപ്യതത്ത്വം—ജലതത്ത്വത്തിൽ തന്നെ പ്രതിഷ്ഠിതമാണ്.
