svāmikāryyamṛtānāṃ ca saṃgrāme śastrasaṃkule | gavārthe brāhmaṇārthe ca mṛtānāṃ yā gatiḥ smṛtā

സ്വാമിയുടെ കാര്യത്തിൽ, ആയുധസങ്കുല യുദ്ധത്തിൽ, ഗോകാര്യത്തിനും ബ്രാഹ്മണാർത്ഥത്തിനും വേണ്ടി ജീവൻ ത്യജിച്ചവർക്കു സ്മൃതികളിൽ പറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്ന പുണ്യഗതി—
