tāvadvirājate kāśī hyavaṃtī mathurāpurī | yāvanna paśyate jaṃtuḥ purīṃ kṛṣṇena pālitām
Prahlāda
Tirtha: Dvārakā (in comparative praise)
Type: kshetra
Scene: Four luminous city-forms appear like jeweled mandalas—Kāśī, Avantī, Mathurā, and Dvārakā—yet Dvārakā, guarded by Kṛṣṇa, outshines them; the others glow softly in its reflected radiance.
Purāṇic sacred geography often ranks tīrthas; here Dvārakā is exalted as uniquely glorious due to Kṛṣṇa’s presence and protection.
Dvārakā, described as the city protected by Kṛṣṇa, even while referencing Kāśī, Avantī, and Mathurā.
An implied practice: seek darśana of Dvārakā, the Kṛṣṇa-protected city.
