mayaivaṃ vihitaḥ setuḥ kathamucchedyatāṃ dvija | sadbhirācaritaḥ setuḥ siddho lokasya pālakaḥ
Govinda (Śrī Viṣṇu/Kṛṣṇa)
Tirtha: Dvārakā (within Prabhāsa-kṣetra ambit)
Type: kshetra
Listener: brāhmaṇa/sage interlocutor within Dvārakāmāhātmya
Scene: A divine speaker establishes an invisible boundary of dharma like a luminous causeway encircling a sacred coastal kṣetra; brāhmaṇa listener stands with folded hands as waves and temple flags move in the sea-breeze.
Dharma is a divinely established ‘setu’ (protective boundary); sustaining it through good conduct preserves the world’s order.
Within Dvārakā Māhātmya, the Lord’s abode is presented as a place where dharma is articulated, upheld, and made exemplary.
No specific ritual; the prescription is ethical—sadācāra (conduct of the good) that maintains the dharma-setu.
