चन्द्रशर्मोवाच । यदि तात मयाऽज्ञानान्न कृतं द्वादशीव्रतम् । कस्मात्कृतं सशल्यं तु भवद्भिर्द्वादशीव्रतम्
candraśarmovāca | yadi tāta mayā'jñānānna kṛtaṃ dvādaśīvratam | kasmātkṛtaṃ saśalyaṃ tu bhavadbhirdvādaśīvratam
ചന്ദ്രശർമൻ പറഞ്ഞു—പിതാവേ, ഞാൻ അജ്ഞാനവശാൽ ദ്വാദശീ വ്രതം ചെയ്തില്ലെങ്കിൽ, നിങ്ങൾ എന്തുകൊണ്ട് ദോഷമുള്ള (സശല്യ) ദ്വാദശീ വ്രതം ആചരിച്ചു?
