संकर्षणस्तु पतितं दृष्ट्वा मूर्ध्नि प्रताडितम् । दृष्ट्वा चुकोप भगवांस्तिष्ठतिष्ठेति चाब्रवीत् । संगृह्य मुशलं वीरो जघान समरे रिपुम्
saṃkarṣaṇastu patitaṃ dṛṣṭvā mūrdhni pratāḍitam | dṛṣṭvā cukopa bhagavāṃstiṣṭhatiṣṭheti cābravīt | saṃgṛhya muśalaṃ vīro jaghāna samare ripum
തലയ്ക്ക് അടിയേറ്റ് വീണുകിടക്കുന്ന അദ്ദേഹത്തെ കണ്ട് സങ്കർഷണൻ കോപാകുലനായി. 'നിൽക്കൂ! നിൽക്കൂ!' എന്ന് പറഞ്ഞുകൊണ്ട് ആ വീരൻ മുസലമെടുത്ത് യുദ്ധത്തിൽ ശത്രുവിനെ പ്രഹരിച്ചു.
