संपूर्णनियमः स्नातस्त्वत्प्रसादाद्भवाम्यहम् । तच्छुत्वा वचनं दैत्यो नातिहृष्टमनास्तदा । दुर्वाससमुवाचेदं नैतदेवं भविष्यति
saṃpūrṇaniyamaḥ snātastvatprasādādbhavāmyaham | tacchutvā vacanaṃ daityo nātihṛṣṭamanāstadā | durvāsasamuvācedaṃ naitadevaṃ bhaviṣyati
“നിന്റെ പ്രസാദത്താൽ ഞാൻ എല്ലാ നിയമങ്ങളും പൂർണ്ണമാക്കി വിധിപൂർവ്വം സ്നാനം ചെയ്യും.” ഈ വാക്കുകൾ കേട്ട് ദൈത്യൻ (ബലി) അതിയായി സന്തോഷിച്ചില്ല. പിന്നെ ദുർവാസസിനോട്—“ഇത് ഇങ്ങനെ സംഭവിക്കില്ല” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
