ഉത്തരായണ സംക്രാന്തിയിൽ ലിംഗപൂരണവിധിയാൽ, പ്രത്യേകിച്ച് ശിവരാത്രിയിൽ ഉമാസഹിത ശിവനെ സമ്പൂജിച്ച്, രാത്രിജാഗരണം ചെയ്താൽ പരമലോകം പ്രാപിക്കും।
