पुलस्त्य उवाच । ततो गच्छेन्नृपश्रेष्ठ जंबूतीर्थमनुत्तमम् । तत्र स्नातो नरः सम्यगिष्टं फलमवाप्नुयात् जंबूद्वीपसमुत्थानां तीर्थानां नृपसत्तम
pulastya uvāca | tato gacchennṛpaśreṣṭha jaṃbūtīrthamanuttamam | tatra snāto naraḥ samyagiṣṭaṃ phalamavāpnuyāt jaṃbūdvīpasamutthānāṃ tīrthānāṃ nṛpasattama
പുലസ്ത്യൻ പറഞ്ഞു—ഹേ നൃപശ്രേഷ്ഠാ! തുടർന്ന് നീ അനുത്തമമായ ജംബൂതീർത്ഥത്തിലേക്ക് പോകുക. അവിടെ വിധിപൂർവ്വം സ്നാനം ചെയ്താൽ മനുഷ്യൻ ഇഷ്ടഫലം പ്രാപിക്കും—ഹേ നൃപസത്തമാ—ഇത് ജംബൂദ്വീപത്തിലെ തീർത്ഥങ്ങളിൽ നിന്നു ഉദ്ഭവിച്ചതാണ്.
