पुलस्त्य उवाच । शृणु राजन्कथां दिव्यामद्भुतां लोकविश्रुताम् । यस्याः संश्रवणादेव मुच्यते सर्वपातकैः
pulastya uvāca | śṛṇu rājankathāṃ divyāmadbhutāṃ lokaviśrutām | yasyāḥ saṃśravaṇādeva mucyate sarvapātakaiḥ
പുലസ്ത്യൻ പറഞ്ഞു—ഹേ രാജാവേ, ലോകവിഖ്യാതമായ ഈ ദിവ്യവും അത്ഭുതകരവുമായ കഥ കേൾക്കുക; ഇതിന്റെ ശ്രവണമാത്രം കൊണ്ടുതന്നെ എല്ലാ പാതകങ്ങളിൽ നിന്നും മോചനം ലഭിക്കുന്നു।
