triḥsapta tarpayāmāsa pitṝṃstatra praharṣitaḥ | jamadagnau mṛte tena pratijñātaṃ mahātmanā

Translation

അവിടെ ആനന്ദത്തോടെ അവൻ പിതൃകൾക്ക് ഇരുപത്തൊന്ന് പ്രാവശ്യം തർപ്പണം ചെയ്തു. ജമദഗ്നി വധിക്കപ്പെട്ടപ്പോൾ ആ മഹാത്മാവ് ചെയ്ത പ്രതിജ്ഞ അതുതന്നെ.
