Skanda Purana — Prabhasa Khanda, Shloka 31
ततो हृष्टमना भूत्वा गृहीत्वा तां चतुर्मुखः । पुनर्वर्षसहस्रांते भूमिपृष्ठमुपागतः । दर्शयामास तां विष्णोरेषा लिंगस्य मूर्धतः
tato hṛṣṭamanā bhūtvā gṛhītvā tāṃ caturmukhaḥ | punarvarṣasahasrāṃte bhūmipṛṣṭhamupāgataḥ | darśayāmāsa tāṃ viṣṇoreṣā liṃgasya mūrdhataḥ
അപ്പോൾ ചതുര്മുഖ ബ്രഹ്മൻ ഹർഷിതചിത്തനായി ആ (പുഷ്പം) എടുത്തുകൊണ്ട്, ആയിരം വർഷങ്ങളുടെ അവസാനം വീണ്ടും ഭൂമിയുടെ ഉപരിതലത്തിലെത്തി. വിഷ്ണുവിന് കാണിച്ച്—“ഇത് ലിംഗശിഖരത്തിൽ നിന്നുള്ളതാണ്” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
