स्तनं धयन्तीं सुस्निग्धां शिशोः क्षीरानुरागिणः । सा तेन विद्धा बाणेन सहसा नतपर्वणा
stanaṃ dhayantīṃ susnigdhāṃ śiśoḥ kṣīrānurāgiṇaḥ | sā tena viddhā bāṇena sahasā nataparvaṇā
അവൾ സ്നേഹപൂർവ്വം തന്റെ കുഞ്ഞിന് മുലപ്പാൽ കൊടുക്കുകയായിരുന്നു; കുഞ്ഞ് മാതൃദുഗ്ധത്തിൽ അനുരക്തനായിരുന്നു. അപ്പോൾ അവന്റെ നതപർവ്വമുള്ള അമ്പാൽ അവൾ പെട്ടെന്ന് വേദനിച്ചു വീണു.
