नाद्यापि स तृणा न्यत्ति तेनाहं शोकविक्लवा । रोद्मि व्याघ्र सुतस्नेहात्सत्येनात्मानमालभे
nādyāpi sa tṛṇā nyatti tenāhaṃ śokaviklavā | rodmi vyāghra sutasnehātsatyenātmānamālabhe
ഇപ്പോഴും അവൻ പുല്ലുപോലും തിന്നുന്നില്ല; അതുകൊണ്ട് ഞാൻ ശോകത്തിൽ വ്യാകുലയാണ്. ഹേ വ്യാഘ്രാ, കിടാവിനോടുള്ള സ്നേഹത്താൽ ഞാൻ കരയുന്നു; സത്യപ്രതിജ്ഞയോടെ ഞാൻ എന്നെ നിനക്കു സമർപ്പിക്കുന്നു (തിരിച്ചു വരാം).
