Pulastya
Tirtha: Kanakhala (Kanakhal/Kankhal)
Type: ghat
Listener: Nṛpaśreṣṭha (king)
Scene: Pulastya, seated as a sage-teacher, points the way to a famed tirtha on a mountain near sacred waters; the king listens with folded hands; distant ghats and pilgrims appear.
Purāṇic dharma frames pilgrimage as a deliberate journey toward purification and merit.
Kanakhala Tīrtha, described as renowned across the three worlds.
The instruction is to go (pilgrimage) to Kanakhala; further rites are expected in subsequent verses.
