पुलस्त्य उवाच । एवं स्तुता जगन्माता तानुवाच सुरोत्तमान् । वरो मे याच्यतां शीघ्रमभीष्टः सुरसत्तमाः
pulastya uvāca | evaṃ stutā jaganmātā tānuvāca surottamān | varo me yācyatāṃ śīghramabhīṣṭaḥ surasattamāḥ
പുലസ്ത്യൻ പറഞ്ഞു—ഇങ്ങനെ സ്തുതിക്കപ്പെട്ട ജഗന്മാതാ ആ ദേവോത്തമന്മാരോടു പറഞ്ഞു—ഹേ സുരസത്തമന്മാരേ, നിങ്ങള്ക്ക് അഭീഷ്ടമായ വരം വേഗം എന്നോടു യാചിക്കുവിൻ।
