पुरा पिण्डोदकोनाम ब्राह्मणोऽभून्महामते । मन्दप्रज्ञोऽल्पमेधावी सोपाध्यायेन पाठितः
purā piṇḍodakonāma brāhmaṇo'bhūnmahāmate | mandaprajño'lpamedhāvī sopādhyāyena pāṭhitaḥ
ഹേ മഹാമതേ! പുരാതനകാലത്ത് പിണ്ഡോദകനാമക ബ്രാഹ്മണൻ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു. അവൻ മന്ദപ്രജ്ഞനും അല്പമേധാവിയും ആയിരുന്നു; ഉപാധ്യായൻ അവനെ പഠിപ്പിച്ചു.
