pulastya uvāca | tataḥ śukreśvaraṃ gacchecchukreṇa sthāpitaṃ purā | yaṃ dṛṣṭvā mānavaḥ sadyaḥ sarvapāpaiḥ pramucyate
Pulastya
Tirtha: Śukreśvara
Type: kshetra
Listener: Nṛpa-sattama (king)
Scene: Pulastya instructs the king; the scene shifts to a hill-temple where a Śiva-liṅga bears Śukra’s association—perhaps with a subtle icon of Śukra (white-robed, radiant) in the background as the founder.
Darśana of a consecrated Śiva-linga at a famed tīrtha is portrayed as instantly purifying.
Śukreśvara—said to have been established by Śukra (Bhārgava) in the Arbuda sacred region.
Pilgrimage and darśana: “one should go” (gacchet) and see Śukreśvara for purification.
