इंद्र उवाच । वरं वरय भद्रं ते राजन्यन्मनसीप्सितम् । त्वां दृष्ट्वा भक्तिसंयुक्तमागतोऽहमसंशयम्
iṃdra uvāca | varaṃ varaya bhadraṃ te rājanyanmanasīpsitam | tvāṃ dṛṣṭvā bhaktisaṃyuktamāgato'hamasaṃśayam
ഇന്ദ്രൻ പറഞ്ഞു— “നിനക്ക് മംഗളം വരട്ടെ, ഹേ രാജാവേ! നിന്റെ മനസ്സിൽ അഭിലഷിതമായ വരം തിരഞ്ഞെടുക്കുക. നിന്നെ ഭക്തിയോടെ യുക്തനായി കണ്ടിട്ടാണ് ഞാൻ സംശയമില്ലാതെ ഇവിടെ വന്നത്।”
