इन्द्र उवाच । भगवन्पुण्यमाहात्म्यं श्रोतुमिच्छामि सांप्रतम् । प्रमाणं चैव सर्वेषां कृतादीनां पृथग्विधम्
indra uvāca | bhagavanpuṇyamāhātmyaṃ śrotumicchāmi sāṃpratam | pramāṇaṃ caiva sarveṣāṃ kṛtādīnāṃ pṛthagvidham
ഇന്ദ്രൻ പറഞ്ഞു—ഹേ ഭഗവൻ! ഇപ്പോൾ പുണ്യത്തിന്റെ മാഹാത്മ്യം ഞാൻ ശ്രവിക്കുവാൻ ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നു; കൂടാതെ കൃതാദി എല്ലാ യുഗങ്ങളുടെയും വ്യത്യസ്തമായ പ്രമാണവും അറിയണം.
