गज उवाच । वंशस्तंबेऽत्र संकीर्णे संप्रविष्टो हुताशनः । सांप्रतं तेन निर्दग्धः कृच्छ्रादत्राहमागतः
gaja uvāca | vaṃśastaṃbe'tra saṃkīrṇe saṃpraviṣṭo hutāśanaḥ | sāṃprataṃ tena nirdagdhaḥ kṛcchrādatrāhamāgataḥ
ഗജൻ പറഞ്ഞു— “ഇവിടെ കട്ടിയുള്ള മുളക്കൂട്ടത്തിലേക്ക് ഹുതാശനൻ (അഗ്നി) കടന്നു. ഇപ്പോഴേ അവന്റെ ദാഹത്തിൽ പൊള്ളിപ്പോയി ഞാൻ വലിയ കഷ്ടത്തോടെ ഇവിടെ എത്തി.”
