शांडिल्युवाच । मनसापि मया ध्यातं शुभं वा यदिवाऽशुभम् । नान्यथा जायते देव विशेषात्कोपयुक्तया
śāṃḍilyuvāca | manasāpi mayā dhyātaṃ śubhaṃ vā yadivā'śubham | nānyathā jāyate deva viśeṣātkopayuktayā
ശാണ്ഡില്യൻ പറഞ്ഞു—ഹേ ദേവാ, മനസ്സിൽ ഞാൻ ധ്യാനിച്ചതെന്തായാലും—ശുഭമോ അശുഭമോ—അത് മറ്റെങ്ങനെ ആകുകയില്ല; പ്രത്യേകിച്ച് കോപം ചേർന്നിരിക്കുമ്പോൾ.
