ततः कालेन महता वल्मीकः समपद्यत । तस्मिन्क्षेत्रे स पाताले संप्रयातः शनैःशनैः
tataḥ kālena mahatā valmīkaḥ samapadyata | tasminkṣetre sa pātāle saṃprayātaḥ śanaiḥśanaiḥ
പിന്നീട് ദീർഘകാലം കഴിഞ്ഞപ്പോൾ അവിടെ ഒരു വൽമീകം (ചീമപ്പുറ്റ്) രൂപപ്പെട്ടു; ആ പുണ്യക്ഷേത്രത്തിൽ അത് പതുക്കെ പതുക്കെ പാതാളത്തിലേക്ക് താഴ്ന്നുപോയി।
