अग्निरुवाच । नैष दोषो मम ब्रह्मन्यन्न दग्धा तव प्रिया । कृतागसाऽपि मे वाक्यं शृणुष्वात्र स्फुटेरितम्
agniruvāca | naiṣa doṣo mama brahmanyanna dagdhā tava priyā | kṛtāgasā'pi me vākyaṃ śṛṇuṣvātra sphuṭeritam
അഗ്നി പറഞ്ഞു—ഹേ ബ്രാഹ്മണാ, നിന്റെ പ്രിയയെ ദഹിപ്പിക്കാതിരുന്നത് എന്റെ കുറ്റമല്ല. അവൾ കുറ്റം ചെയ്തിട്ടുണ്ടെങ്കിലും, എന്റെ വാക്ക് കേൾക്കുക; ഞാൻ ഇവിടെ വ്യക്തമായി പറയുന്നു.
