संप्रदानक्रियां कृत्वा तत्रैव विधिपूर्वकम् । ततो हस्तग्रहं ताभ्यां मिथश्चक्रे यथाक्रमम् । मातॄणां पुरतो वेधाः सतीशाभ्यां यथोचितम्

saṃpradānakriyāṃ kṛtvā tatraiva vidhipūrvakam | tato hastagrahaṃ tābhyāṃ mithaścakre yathākramam | mātṝṇāṃ purato vedhāḥ satīśābhyāṃ yathocitam

അവിടെയേ തന്നെ വിധിപൂർവ്വം സംപ്രദാനക്രിയ (കന്യാദാനം) നിർവഹിച്ചു; തുടർന്ന് യഥാക്രമം ഇരുവരുടെയും പരസ്പര ഹസ്തഗ്രഹണം നടത്തിച്ചു. മാതൃഗണങ്ങളുടെ സന്നിധിയിൽ വേധാ (ബ്രഹ്മാവ്) സതി–ഈശർക്കു യഥോചിതമായ വിവാഹവിധി അനുഷ്ഠിച്ചു.
