स्कन्द उवाच । हिताय सर्वलोकानां मयैतत्समनुष्ठितम् । यद्धतो दानवो रौद्रो नान्यथा द्विजसत्तमाः
skanda uvāca | hitāya sarvalokānāṃ mayaitatsamanuṣṭhitam | yaddhato dānavo raudro nānyathā dvijasattamāḥ
സ്കന്ദൻ പറഞ്ഞു— “സകല ലോകങ്ങളുടെ ഹിതത്തിനായി ഞാൻ ഇതു അനുഷ്ഠിച്ചു—ആ ക്രൂര ദാനവനെ വധിച്ചു. ഹേ ദ്വിജശ്രേഷ്ഠരേ, ഇതു മറ്റെങ്ങനെ ആകുവാൻ കഴിയില്ലായിരുന്നു.”
