अथाभवन्महायुद्धं देवानां दानवैः सह । यावद्वर्षसहस्रांते मृत्युं कृत्वा निवर्तनम्
athābhavanmahāyuddhaṃ devānāṃ dānavaiḥ saha | yāvadvarṣasahasrāṃte mṛtyuṃ kṛtvā nivartanam
അപ്പോൾ ദേവന്മാരും ദാനവന്മാരും തമ്മിൽ മഹായുദ്ധം ഉണ്ടായി. ആയിരം വർഷങ്ങളുടെ അവസാനം വരെ അത് നീണ്ടു—മരണസംഹാരം വരുത്തി—അവസാനം അവർ പിന്മാറി മടങ്ങി.
