śayane bodhane viṣṇoḥ saṃprāpte dvādaśīdine | viṣṇorapi ca durgāyāḥ saṃprāpte navamīdine

Translation

വിഷ്ണുവിന്റെ ശയനവും ബോധനവും വരുന്ന സമയത്ത്, ദ്വാദശി തിഥി എത്തിയാൽ; നവമി തിഥി എത്തിയാലും—വിഷ്ണുവിനും ദുർഗാദേവിക്കും (വ്രത-പൂജ) നടത്തപ്പെടുന്നു.
