स्त्रीहत्ययान्वितं ज्ञात्वा ततस्तूर्णमिहागतः । ततो भीष्मो द्रुतं गत्वा तत्र स्थाने समाहितः

strīhatyayānvitaṃ jñātvā tatastūrṇamihāgataḥ | tato bhīṣmo drutaṃ gatvā tatra sthāne samāhitaḥ

അവൻ സ്ത്രീഹത്യാപാപഭാരത്തോടെ ഉള്ളവനെന്ന് അറിഞ്ഞ് അദ്ദേഹം (ശന്തനു) വേഗത്തിൽ ഇവിടെ എത്തി. തുടർന്ന് ഭീഷ്മനും ഉടൻ അവിടെ ചെന്നു, ആ സ്ഥലത്ത് മനസ്സിനെ ഏകാഗ്രമാക്കി നിലകൊണ്ടു.
